About Kristýna Plíšková
Kristýna Plíšková is a professional tennis player. She is from Czech and lived in Louny. Radek Plíšek and Martina Plíšková are the proud parents of Karolina and Plíšková. Karolina is also a tennis player and was ranked No.1 in her career. She has won many titles. In ITF Women’s Circuit Kristýna won nine singles and eight doubles title. Overall she has won four doubles titles and one singles title in the WTA Tour. In the world singles ranking, she ranks No.35.
Furthermore, she ranks 51 in the doubles. By beating Sachie Ishizu, she won the 2010 Wimbledon Championships. Above all, she holds the record for the most aces in a match.
Career and Professional life
Plíšková’s professional career began in 2005. She participated in ITF junior Tournament in 2006 held in Malta. In this tournament, she lost to Cristina Sánchez Quintanar. Later she made her Grand Slam debut in 2010 at the Australian Open. In which she lost at the semifinals.
Further, she participated in the 2010 French Open, where Danka Kovinić defeated her. Later she won the Aegon junior tournament in 2010. In this match, she defeated Tara Moore. Eventually, she won the Wimbledon Championships in Girls’ Singles in 2010 by defeating Sachie Ishizu.
Moreover, she competed with her sister at Kurume in 2010 for the ITF title. She lost the Prague Open. Also, she played the doubles with her sister in the Prague Open. Then she participated her 1st Grand Slam where Lourdes Domínguez Lino defeated her in the final qualifying round. To qualify for her 1st Grand Slam, she defeated all her opponents in 2011. Then in 2012 she again qualified for Wimbledon Championships and won by defeating Polona Hercog.
Furthermore, she and her sister Karolína became the first twins to win a doubles title. The twins won the Generali Ladies Linz 2013. With her sister Karolina, she won two more WTA doubles title in 2014.

Plíšková lost her Australian Open to Monica Puig, although she set a record of most aces in a match. Later in the Tashkent Open, she won her WTA level title by winning against Nao Hibino. Then she lost to Johanna Konta at the beginning of the season at Shenzhen. Further, in the Australian Open, she lost to Angelique Kerber, defending Champion world No.1.
During 2017 Pliskova had won four titles the Ricoh Open, Mallorca Open, Aegon International and the Wimbledon Championships. Then in Prague, she reached the final of ITF 80K tournament. She had to withdraw from the Jiangxi International Women’s Tennis Open due to an injury in her finger. She was back in the game in the Connecticut Open eventually losing to Daria Gavrilova. Later she was defeated by Magdaléna Rybárikováin in the US Open.
This year she participated in a historical match where she played against her sister Karolína at the 2019 Birmingham Classic. They have become the 1st twins to play against each other. Although Kristýna is ranked over 100 places below her sister, yet she defeated her.
