The Stance – Way To A Correct Serve

The way a player stands decides the serve for him. The right way of standing before serve is – the front foot should be pointed toward the right net in the field, and the other foot has to be parallel to the baseline.

The Grip – The way the racquet is held, directs the direction of the serve. The correct way to keep the racquet handle is to wrap the palm around it on the bottom, and both the hand and the handle should be positioned in a perpendicular graph with the ground.

The Hit

The hit or the serve is the most vital part of the play. The correct direction of a proper service is to lose a drop of the racquet and arm then swing up & contact and finally pronation. The tennis ball should be on air first. Then the racquet it turned from the back and hit the ball with force. The position of the foot changes accordingly.

Backswing And Toss

This part explains the first step of the service and the role of the racquet. The racquet has to swing from the back (behind the head of the player) to gather the force so it can hit the ball on the exact point. Apart from the hand, the other parts of the body should not be moving. By moving different parts of the body, the target can be missed. Eye vision should not vibrate and should stick to the target point on the ball.

Serve In Two Parts

Well, while making subtle detailing, we can see that the service is made in two major parts. And that’s what makes the service perfect. The turn of the hand of the player decides how accurately the racquet hits the ball on point. The first part is to swing the bat behind the head and the second part is to turn the bat from the back to the front, and then hit the ball. These two significant parts mainly decide the accuracy of the serve.

The Power Move

The power move is a combination of two simultaneous actions of after hitting the ball. First, the racquet should start to drop below, and the body should rotate sideways.

Legs

The turns of legs are vital as it provides motions to the body while making the hit. The front leg should be turned sideways right when the bat hit the ball.
